So what if we can’t spell the words we speak, so what if the numbers can’t be put together to form an equation. Does it matter if the theories and systems even principles of my discipline has been there without applications but crammed by all!
Our parents tell us “for you to be great in life and get to where I am you must be educated “or do I say go to school?
I asked her if quadratic equations, simultaneous equations, regression and time series have ever been useful to her day to day endeavor since she learnt them. That is not always the case, I saw it in her face that all she learnt and crammed didn’t make her who she is. So why should results decide our fates, whether it be first class, second class, third class or pass. That’s not what they told us though.
The real education is not the theories and principles, systems and scopes, definition and types, but the ability to read situations, interpret, adapt and solve real life problems.
Permit me to ask are you educated?
